Woodycrest United Methodist Church, 219 Clearview Avenue in State College, presents the "Free For All" shop May 25 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and the shop will be open the last Saturday of every month. The public, regardless of need, is invited to pick out free items including clothing, furniture, decorations, sporting goods, toys, crafts and more. The church is also accepting donations of items. A pulled pork dinner to benefit Taylor Watkins will be held May 25 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Gap American Legion. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 at the front desk of the Hotel State College (2nd floor above The Corner Room). Tickets on the day of the event are $10. Dine-in or take-out. A bake sale will also be held.

The Osceola Mills United Methodist Church will hold a car wash May 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The cost is $2 per car. There will also be a bake sale and other refreshments available for purchase.

The Logan Fire Company in Bellefonte is having a chicken barbecue May 25 starting at 10:00 a.m. until sold out. Meals are $8 and a half-chicken is $6. All proceeds benefit the fire company.

The Centre Hall American Legion will hold a Memorial Day service May 27 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery on West Church Street in Centre Hall. The guest speaker is Rep. Glenn Thompson.
The State College Elks will operate a food stand May 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Boalsburg Memorial Day Celebration. Proceeds benefit the Elks Home Service Program.
