The Lady Lions host Notre Dame Wednesday, Dec. 4 @ 7:30 p.m. at Bryce Jordon Center. School of Music Feature Mosaic will perform 4:00 pm Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Eisenhower Auditorium. Now in its seventh year, Mosaic promises ninety minutes of surprises and delights. The popular School of Music concert features an array of Penn State bands, choirs, orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists situated throughout Eisenhower Auditorium. Large ensembles give way to individuals. Jazz follows seventeenth-century masterworks. Voices resound in the balconies, while instrumentalists take the stage. Think of it as a wonderful gift to give to yourself. It’s sheer enchantment as you experience an eclectic mosaic of performances by amazingly talented students.
Bellefonte Historic Victorian Christmas

Some say that “tis not the season” until they experience Bellefonte Victorian Christmas. This gentle and merry weekend of old-fashioned holiday entertainment, shopping, and social events embodies what’s good and wholesome about this holiday of all holidays. The 32nd Annual Bellefonte Victorian Christmas is Friday, December 13 through Sunday, December 15 with the 4th Annual Fundraiser “A Gaslight Gala” to kick off the weekend on Thursday, December 12. For opening ceremonies Friday, you are invited to gather at the Bellefonte Elementary School at 6:30 p.m. You’ll be greeted on the front steps by Mr. Dickens and the Bellefonte Community Band. . Enter the auditorium for and enjoy entertainment by the Nittany Knights, the Bellefonte Elementary School 4th & 5th Grade Choir, Middle School Women’s Chorale, St. John’s Elementary School Choir, and some other special performances, including a preview performance of the Dickens Holiday Show! A Cookie and Hot Chocolate Reception provided by the Bellefonte Moose Lodge #206 will be held in the hallway beside the auditorium immediately following Opening Ceremony. Be a part of our 2013 Bellefonte Victorian Christmas Arts & Crafts Show presented by Bellefonte Victorian Christmas and Bellefonte Historical & Cultural Association Saturday, December 14th 9am-5pm and Sunday, December 15th 11am-4pm!
First Night State College

First Night®State College will take place in downtown State College, Pennsylvania and on adjacent University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University on December 31, 2013. First Night State College features musical and theatrical performances in downtown churches, carriage rides, reindeer display, a Grand Procession, indoor and outdoor resolution sculptures, and art workshops for young people downtown and at the Palmer Museum of Art on the Penn State campus. For the athletically inclined, we even present a 5K Resolution Run in conjunction with the Nittany Valley Running Club. The race starts on College Avenue near Allen St and tours parts of downtown and the Penn State Campus. The finish line is on College Avenue near Garner St. (Register for the race online at www.active.com.) We truly have something for everyone.
